Youichi Imamura, Michihiro Takatori and Drift Samurai on March 5th, 2006. The drivers met with fans and handed out freeautographed postcards. Some fans brought in some of their personal item such as T-Shirts, DVDs and models cars for the drivers to autographed. The event was a great success!

Youichi Imamura, both 2003 and 2004 championship winner recalled that "The US drivers have indeed increased their skills as compared to few years ago when drifting was introduced in this country. I'm very happy that the popularity of drifting growing in the US. I am sure this is a result of the effort of many people. I strongly encourage the US drifters to come to Japan to race."

Michihiro Takatori, driver of the Autobacs sponsored Nissan Skyline said, "I had lots of fun racing this year's D1 Grand Prix USA because the US audience shows their enthusiasm so much louder creating very exciting atmosphere. The race track was difficult just because I was not used to it, especially banks. I would like to come back and challenge the drifters here in the US in near future."
